Middle East & Gulf: full scholarships, US/UK branch campuses, and home-region gravity.
Saudi Arabia funds international students more completely than almost any state on earth; Qatar’s Education City hosts branch campuses of Georgetown, Carnegie Mellon and their peers; the UAE runs the region’s widest branch-campus market with a Golden Visa for outstanding graduates; Turkey — this hub’s bridge to Europe — pairs Türkiye Scholarships with English-taught MBBS. Add Bahrain’s and Oman’s affiliated-college value, Kuwait’s American-model privates and Iran’s scholarship-checked medicine, and you have the hub closest to home in every sense.

All 8 Middle East & Gulf countries we cover
Funding-led and family-friendly — with the honest limits stated per page: part-time work is restricted across most of this hub, and stay-back runs through employment and talent routes, not automatic visas.
Side by side: how this hub’s routes compare
Best for full funding: Saudi Arabia, Qatar & Turkey
Saudi public-university scholarships can cover tuition, stipend, housing and flights; Qatar Foundation and HBKU funding can cut Education City costs to near zero for admitted students; Türkiye Scholarships cover tuition + stipend + flight. The Gulf’s money is real — and so are its deadlines and competition.
Best for branch-campus degrees: UAE, Qatar, Bahrain
Dubai, Doha and Manama host campuses awarding the home university’s own degree — British, American and Australian parchments earned 3–4 hours from Karachi, with the UAE’s 10-year Golden Visa rewarding outstanding graduates.
Best for affiliated value: Oman, Kuwait & Iran
Oman’s UK-affiliated colleges deliver franchised British degrees at mid-range totals; Kuwait’s American-model privates serve Gulf-based families; Iran’s English-taught medicine comes with government scholarships — and our mandatory recognition check for medical files.
Questions students ask about this hub
Can I work part-time while studying in the Gulf?
Mostly, no — Saudi Arabia prohibits student employment, and across the Gulf part-time work for international students is restricted or permission-based. Turkey is the exception in this hub with defined student work rights. Budget a Gulf degree without part-time income; treat any earnings route as a bonus, never the plan.
Can I stay after graduating?
There is no automatic post-study visa in this hub. Staying runs through employment sponsorship — Education City and UAE graduates are hired regionally every year — and through talent routes like the UAE Golden Visa for outstanding graduates. Turkey offers a short post-study window and a work-permit path. We position your degree and internships for hiring from semester one.
Are Gulf degrees recognised in Pakistan?
Branch-campus degrees carry the awarding home university’s recognition; local Gulf universities are assessed under HEC rules like any foreign institution. For medicine anywhere in this hub, the Pakistan recognition and licensing check for your exact university comes first, in writing — our standing rule.
Why do so many families choose this hub first?
Proximity and peace of mind: 3–4 hour flights, halal life as the default, familiar culture, and parents who can visit on a weekend. For students whose priority is a funded or branch-campus degree without culture shock, no hub competes. The trade — limited part-time work — is priced into every plan we write here.
