Study abroad for almost free: zero-tuition systems & full scholarships are real.
Eight of our 68 destinations can take your tuition bill to zero — or within sight of it. Germany, Italy, Brazil and Argentina run public systems that charge little or nothing; China (CSC), Hungary (Stipendium Hungaricum), Brunei and Saudi Arabia run full-scholarship machines that can cover tuition, housing, stipend and even flights. The honest footnote, printed large: living costs and proof-of-funds (like Germany’s blocked account) still exist. ‘Almost free’ means the tuition problem is solved — the planning problem is ours.

Every country in this tier
Eight countries where tuition can fall to ~zero. Card totals show what remains — usually living costs — after the free route is used properly.
The four budget tiers, side by side
Totals are tuition + living guides for a typical first year, before scholarships — your highlighted row is this hub. Scholarships can pull a country down a tier; living costs can push it up. Your free session prices your exact route.

Questions students ask about this hub
Is ‘free’ really free? What’s the catch?
The tuition genuinely can be zero — that part is policy, not marketing. The catches are three: living costs remain (budget them honestly), proof of funds is still required for the visa (Germany’s blocked account is the famous example), and the most demanded programmes are competitive. None of those is a reason not to come — they’re reasons to start early and file properly.
Which near-free route fits average marks?
Scholarship machines (CSC, SH, Brunei, Saudi) reward strong files, but the open public systems are the equaliser: Germany’s and Italy’s public universities admit on qualification recognition and programme fit, not on winning a national competition, and Argentina/Brazil publics are open by design. Your session matches your actual marks to the right door.
Do I still need to show money if tuition is free?
Yes — embassies fund-test your living costs regardless of tuition. Germany requires a blocked account (currently around €11,904/yr), France-style and Italian files have their own funds evidence, and scholarship winners show their award letters instead. We prepare the exact evidence your route requires.
When do these routes close?
CSC runs roughly December–April; Stipendium Hungaricum and the Saudi and Brunei calls are annual; German and Italian public intakes have hard semester deadlines with APS/Uni-Assist lead times in front of them. In this tier, the calendar is the competition — late starters don’t lose on merit, they lose on dates.
